Le Château d’Issan 3ème Grand Cru dans la classification officielle de Bordeaux de 1855 se situe à Cantenac en Gironde. La superficie total du vignoble est de 59 hectares dont 44 hectares dans l’appellation Margaux.
Le vignoble se trouve au coeur de l’appellation Margaux, tout près du célèbre Châteaux Margaux. Son terroir est constitué de graves en surface et d’argile en profondeur.
L’encépagement du vignoble (Margaux) est composé de cabernet sauvignon à 62% et de merlot à 38%. L’âge moyen des vignes est de 35 ans. Les rendements sont d’environ 35 à 45 hectolitres par hectare.
Le Château d’Issan est un vin qui se distingue par sa souplesse, sa finesse, son élégance et son potentiel de garde exceptionnel.
Le domaine produit également un second vin « Blason d’Issan ».
